We live in a wonderful area - the region of the lakes - in Lombardy, north-west of Italy, (tourist information) about 2 hrs route from the Liguria Sea, 15 km from Lugano ( Switzerland ) and 50 km from Milan
Our house is situated on the border of the woods of the Regional Park protected area Campo dei Fiori and several walking paths and cycling routes pass near our house that we have recently renovated, (some details have still to be achieved...) on 2 levels plus a mezzanine and terrace ( access by the kitchen).
The province of Varese is famous for its lakes of different sizes, rich of green areas, wonderfully framed by the Prealps and the Alps 4 mins video. It is close to Malpensa airport, to the Como lake, to the fashion and design city of Milan and adjacent to Switzerland.
Furthermore the area is very attractive: beauty of the landscape and sport facilities such as golf courses, riding schools, over 100 kilometers of cycling paths, trekking in the nature, tennis, swimming pools, music and food in the local typical outdoor parties, historical villages, architecture and art. Besides, It hosts so many expatriates from all over Europe.
We started a few years ago our swapping house adventure and we are enthusiastic of this experience.
