Town house
Dear fellow Intervac Member
We live in an end of terrace modern town house in a quiet cul de sac adjacent to Dundrum Village. There is a well kept garden to the front and a private walled garden to the rear. There is a large patio with table, chairs, parasol and a cheminee that burns wood. Cars are safely parked off the street.
Inside there is a comfortable living room with widescreen TV, DVD Video and Hi-Fi System. We have UPC and Broadband 24/7-just bring your own laptop/tablet. The Dining-Room /Kitchen has an electric cooker/oven, microwave, washing machine/spin dryer, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and seating area. There is also a small toilet downstairs. There is gas central heating and an easy to use alarm system.
Upstairs there are two double bedrooms. The master bedroom has a double bed and the other bedroom, two single beds. The upstairs bathroom has a shower cubicle, separate bath/WC and wash hand basin.
Our home is not a palace but it is a home! - we will treat your home with respect and we expect you to reciprocate.
We have two lovely daughters, none of whom will travel with us.
Dundrum
Dundrum is a village close to Dublin city centre (6 km/11 minutes by Luas Tram). Dundrum retains some of its village charm. You are a 3 minute walk to the new Dundrum Shopping Centre- www.dundrum.ie
one of the largest and most modern in Europe. The shops include Marks & Spencer, Harvey Nichols, House of Fraser and a 24 hour Tesco Supermarket plus Petrol (gas)station. There are bookstores, chemists, fish shops, butchers, hardressers, library, cafes & restaurants, churches of various denominations, doctor and dental surgeries(which we hope you do not need to visit!)
Dublin
Dublin is one of the most exciting and vibrant capitals in Europe.
It is noted for its excellent shopping, theatres, museums, restaurants and for the 'craic'-which translates roughly as 'a good time'.
Visit Grafton Street with its street artists, the National Museum with its gold artefacts from Irelands past, Guinness Museum and Hop Store, the Natural History Museum, Trinity College Dublin (Book of Kells), the Zoological Gardens-and, Stephen's Green for a picnic with live music often provided in the summer.
Walk in the footsteps of James Joyce, W. B. Yeats, Sean O'Casey, Patrick Kavanagh & Oscar Wilde.
